OG Crash trilogy modder and runner
Jet Rex Showcase - Crash Bandicoot 2.5: Mechanical Mayhem
The video shows off most, but not all of the level. The level is a mix of prehistoric jetski and prehistoric jetpack segments, as well as some other things not shown :) The level has been finished for a while now, it is one of my favourites despite its length. It contains a bunch of existing enemies, like the spikey bots or geysirs, with new behaviour more suited for their usage here. The jetpack controls have been changed to suit its usage in a 2D segment.
Music as well as some parts of the level were made by airumu - the very first segment was her idea and implementation, then I took over by combining it with the 2D jetpack idea and adding the following segments.

Balatro - end of a nice challange run

Balatro is a neat 'new' deck-building rogue-like. Got some nice stuff while doing the Mad World challenge. Still very much not enough for beating ante 12. Or close to what you can do in this game. store.steampowered.com/app/2379780/Balatro/

Normally not accessible, I moved spawn point into the route. Even after spawning in the death route its impossible to get all crates.

By far the most interesting level in the build. The death route elevator is not set up at all. The early designs for spin pad, timed platform, hover enemy and spike enemy are mostly functional, just look adorably ugly. The jumping enemy is actually quite cool imo, it just looks out of place visually.

One of the more interesting levels in the prototype. The early split and connect is quite nice. The ice acts really stupid when you slide into a wall. The gem route (a death route in this build) is just a more broken version of retail, its annoying to play.

Getting relics and saving times works. No TT crates, bonus still accessible, fruit not removed. Dying still costs a life.

Crashed on Duckstation. Visibly unfinished. The secret warp does not seem to be connected to the main hub in any way.

Done on pcsx, some spots would likely crash on an accurate emu. Done by forcing the game into allowing pausing anywhere through global 74.

The Mecha Cortex image TERRIFIES me holy crap
this is insane. its legit like a fever dream. it totally looks impossible to beat and then you show that it isnt. the length and variety are amazing. it really feels like a hopeless journey at some points but then you keep going forward and you know youre making real progress. this might just be the craziest modded levels ive seen. what. a. challenge. the way you run through the level brings me that feeling of really mastering the controls of a game so you feel like an untouchable master. great fucking video.

12:49 I downloaded the pcsx-hdbg but when I press ‘play’ to test the lvl, it doesn’t work. I realised that I need those bat files and the libpcsx.dll files. Could you send me the link to get those files?
you need pcsx and crashedit to be in the same folder iirc

Pardon me is there any way yo use crash animations(spanning jumping and other) as fbx in blender?

@@Aversatrix thanks u saw this v8deo but the problem is the meshes are not in one and nor like fbx animation keyframe. Every keyframe is separate obj and mesh.

Not atm, no. It will probably be all released at once since no level is a standalone thing
@@Aversatrixoh I see. Ya been watching this project on both yours and Arimu’s channel like a hawk for the last 3 years. I regularly play one of your older builds. Can’t resist the urge any longer. Hopefully this is the year. We really need more people making modded crash levels.
So Blue Crystals are finally real. I have made them up many years back in Crash Bash for difficulty higher than Platinum Relics. Slightly inspired by Aladdin's Nasira's Revenge elusive "Blue Gems". Those were hair ripping difficult haha.
